Kaya Rumi Medicine Stones
Monday, April 7, 2008
7:30-9:00 PM
The Kaya Rumi are a collection of seven special stones, which have received initiation and empowerment in the tradition of Peruvian shamans. They contain the medicine of earth, fire and lightning. Bill acquired the ability to work with these stones from Jose Louis Herrara, an indigenous Peruvian teacher-shaman (www.rainbowjaguar.org). By working with the Auric Field and Shamanic Breathwork, Bill will demonstrate how the Kaya Rumi stones are used to clear away damage to the Aura and imprint the system with healing light.
Destiny Retrieval and the Shaman’s Way Of Seeing
Monday, May 5, 2008
7:30 - 9:00 PM
“Everyone has a future, only certain people have a destiny.”
--Alberto Villodo, Shaman Healer, Sage
During this presentation Bill will teach a method of the Shaman’s Way of
Seeing which allows one to witness the different levels of one’s own process of evolution or “self-transcendence.” There will also be a demonstration of Destiny Retrieval, a shamanic healing process that accelerates the shape of destiny and releases one from the momentum of the karmic wheel. This release allows healing to take place in the present as well as in the past and in the future.
New Moon Despacho Ceremony
Monday, June 2, 2008
7:30 PM - 9:00 PM
Despacho is a traditional Andean ceremony in which we make offerings as an act of love and affirmation to all of the connections we chare with the universe. It is a time to connect with all beings, all elements, all spirits and sacred places of the universe by making offerings into a medicine bundle that will then be offered to the Apus (Mountains) and to Pachamama (Mother Earth) with our prayers and blessings.
“The Despacho places us in right relationship, right ayni, with the Pachamama.”
Q'ero Elder Don Manuel Q'espi, May 1997.

March - May
After graduating from University of Wisconsin Whitewater with a BS in economics and art, I continued my education at UW Madison where I received my K-12 art education certification. After teaching one year in the middle school at Oregon, Wisconsin, I returned to UW Madison for a year of graduate work. From there I went to Viroqua where I taught art for 32 years, the first 18 years in grades K-8 and the last 14 years at Viroqua High School. I retired in 1999 and started my Shadow Wërks watercolor business.

In my community I was a charter member of the Bad Axe Arts Council and Vernon Area Visual Arts that encouraged local art talent and promoted the visual arts in our area. I also have collaborated on the Artist's Tree for the annual Festival of Trees in Viroqua, which helps bring awareness of local arts in the community. In addition, I teach watercolor classes to adults who wish to explore and share my enthusiasm for the medium.
I have exhibited my artwork at shows and art fairs in Viroqua, La Crosse, Spring Green, Prairie du Chien, and Soldiers Grove, Wisconsin. My work has been on view at Common Ground Café, Viroqua, Wisconsin; Gallery E and Sampson's Gallery, La Crosse, Wisconsin; Art Works Galleries in Spring Green and Elkhorn, Wisconsin; Snowfire Gallery in Estes Park, Colorado; Savoir Faire Cards and Gifts, Madison, Wisconsin; Ankora Coffee Roasters, Madison, Wisconsin; Pearl Street Books, La Crosse, Wisconsin; Artist’s Eye Gallery, Boscobel, Wisconsin; Crane Meadows Nature Center, Wood River, Nebraska; and Rowe Sanctuary, Gibbon, Nebraska.. At the present time, my work is being shown at VIVA Gallery and Vernon Memorial Hospital, Viroqua, Wisconsin.
I enjoy watercolor because it is a truly expressive, spontaneous, and exciting way to paint. When I'm working in watercolor, I let the media control a lot of the results, creating as I go. I tend to paint realistically, with a suggestion of abstraction that emphasizes line patterns. The subjects I prefer are wildlife (such as wolves and cranes), landscapes, buildings, and portraits derived from historic photographs. I accept commission work.
